SUFFIX DESCRIPTION:
- B — Tempered Glass ¼” (6 mm) polished tempered glass
- C — Stainless Steel Mirrors Type 304 Stainless Steel polished to a #8 mirror finish
- D — Lexan Dura-Mir® Fabricated of ¼” (6 mm) polycarbonate sheet
- E — Plexiglas® ¼” (6 mm) mm acrylic plastic, lightweight and shatter-resistant
- L — Laminated Glass ¼” (6 mm) thick
Note for Designers: All of the above glazing options are particularly suited to applications where frequent breakage and/or security problems exist. These surfaces are best specified for use in prisons, schools, police stations, psychiatric wards, etc., where shards of broken glass might possibly be used as weapons.
The reflective quality of these types of mirrors is not as true as plate glass.
